Goswijn Thijssen, former CMO at Google Cloud EMEA North, named Managing Director User Business at eyeo
BERLIN (January 13, 2025) – Ad-filtering technology leader eyeo announced today that Goswijn Thijssen has been named to the new role of Managing Director, User Business. Based in Amsterdam and reporting to eyeo CEO, Frank Einecke, Thijssen will be responsible for growing the user base of eyeo’s products. He will directly manage the full sales and marketing funnel raising user awareness and acquisition, and will build partnerships that will enhance the user experience. Thijssen will work closely with Rob Bailey Adamson, Managing Director Media, to ensure the need for ad-experiences and monetization are aligned in the value exchange.
Thijssen most recently served as CMO for Google Cloud EMEA North, where he spearheaded double digit market share growth and multiple geographical expansions. Earlier in his Google career, he built the Northern European adtech business Doubleclick from its infancy, transforming it into a billion-dollar operation. He established the company as a leader in data-driven marketing and grew its programmatic business exponentially. Leveraging his expertise in market research, data-driven analysis, and agile methodologies, Goswijn has spearheaded the development of a diverse portfolio of SaaS enterprise tools and consumer-facing mobile apps.
He previously held international sales and marketing leadership roles at Microsoft and as CMO at Tridion, a content management software startup. As a seasoned Product Manager with over 8 years of experience, Thijssen has established a reputation as a trailblazer in the tech industry.
